My Story
Hi, I’m Mindy. My work centers on helping adolescents and young adults find clarity in the middle of life’s messiest seasons. I’m deeply passionate about supporting people as they make sense of who they are, what they feel, and what they truly want.
Over the years, I’ve come to specialize in working with high-achieving, perfectionist teens and young adults—those who feel the pressure to perform, please, and keep it all together. My approach goes beyond surface-level strategies; together, we look beneath the patterns to understand what’s really driving emotions and behavior. Therapy with me is not a formula or a checklist—it’s a conversation, a relationship, and a place to feel seen and understood.
I believe change begins with awareness, and that self-understanding can be both grounding and transformative. My role is to help clients move through that process with honesty, compassion, and curiosity—whether we’re meeting in my Sunnyvale office or virtually across Texas.
Education & Background
I graduated with a Master’s in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in 2015, focusing on Adolescent Therapy and Lifestyle and Career Counseling. My professional journey has included work at the Dallas Resource Center, Almaden Valley Counseling Services in San Jose, and private practice in both Texas and California.
During my training, I developed a deep interest in Archetypal Psychology—studying fairy tales, dreams, and the patterns that shape human experience. That study continues to inform my work today, helping clients uncover meaning beneath the surface of their stories.
I’m currently a:

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist — California License #140223
